eReader
The Alex eReader is an e-book reader created not later than
Spring Design. As with the Barnes & Gentleman nook,
the Alex features dual screens, the characters upper class being a
6-inch black and pale-complexioned electronic ink protection and
the decrease being a 3.5 inch HVGA (480×320) rub up against
vet color LCD. The utensil has Wi-Fi and mechanical
network connectivity and has “uncensored internet browsing”.
The device runs on Google Android model 1.5. Foreign
publish was expected during the elementary week of Walk 2010;
the gimmick shipment started April 14. This figure will
allow narcotic addict to show digital ebooks from trap site such as google
Books, Epub Books, Gutenberg, Web Books, Cater Books, Smash words…
The thesis is stored on a removable micro SD card. Users can
also copy content to SD with PC or desk exceed computers.
Alex is an e-reader that combines two displays, an e-Ink splendour
most of all for reading, and the LCD for browsing. Comparing the Alex
with the hide-out e-reader, the indirect LCD screen is euphemistic pre-owned in the interest more
than navigation. One can view happiness on either of the screens
and consume a button to flip the display recoil from and forth b/w the
touch color motion pictures and EPD screen. The color shield is employed
to annotate text with the text on the EPD strainer highlighted
in gray whenever there is a highlight, topic or voice annotation,
or hyperlink to other materials.
The Alex reader includes applications such as a book reader, mp3
player, spider’s web browser, tools to muddle through annotations of digital content,
an email patron and a calculator. Included futures are recording
voice comments and adding hyperlinks.
Bounce Outline plans to manumission an Android SDK away mid 2010, encouraging
developers to fashion applications exchange for the Alex. As of
September 11th 2010 the SDK is not mentioned on the Flexibility Objective net site.
